Dr. Jian Yang is a Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, Anhui University, specializing in vibration control, structural control, smart materials, and magnetorheological technology. She earned her Ph.D. in Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronic, and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Wollongong, Australia, following her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Control Science and Engineering from the China University of Petroleum (East). Dr. Yang has held research and leadership roles at Tohoku University, Japan, and the University of Wollongong, Australia, contributing extensively to interdisciplinary projects on advanced vibration mitigation systems and intelligent materials. Her research focuses on the design and development of magnetorheological and smart material-based systems for vibration isolation, adaptive damping, and intelligent structural applications. She has authored and co-authored numerous high-impact journal papers in Smart Materials and Structures, Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, and IEEE Transactions on Mechatronics, among others, and contributed book chapters on seismic protection technologies. Dr. Yang has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including Best Poster and Best Presentation Awards at international conferences, and her works have been featured as highlighted and most-cited articles. She serves as a reviewer for leading journals and as a committee member in international technical societies. Her academic excellence is further reflected through her national and international research grants, invited talks, and editorial contributions.
